Wild Child is for sale. Includes double-axle trailer, bimini, DC0055 AGM battery, Victron solar charger, 4 Sawyer MX composite oars with Dynelite blades, 2 Aere beach rollers, flip straps, boarding ladder and other odds and ends. Built in Flagstaff at Fretwater Boatworks in 2018, under the incomparable direction of Brad Dimock, with Cricket Rust, Patrick Clark, Amber Shannon and others attending. Wild Child is constructed of Hydrotek plywood over Port Orford cedar frames with ash gunwales and cherry trim on the transom. The bottom is 10 oz. glass over 17 oz. biax over 12mm Hydrotek. Front and rear passenger footwells drain to a sump under the boatman's footwell, The sump is drained by a 4000 GPH Johnson bilge pump with a Water Witch solid state switch. The pump is powered by an Interstate DC0055 wheelchair battery. This system can empty the entire boat filled to the gunwales in 3.5 minutes. The battery is charged by a Victron solar controller. The battery also feeds a USB charger for those camera top-ups mid-trip. The custom bronzework was designed and cast at Fretwater Boatworks. Completed in 2019, she has 2 GC's and a host of other trips under her belt. She has had a couple of hits. The last one in Horn was repaired by Brad and crew.
