Dry weight is 5945 pounds. 105 gal. fuel tank, 35 gal. freshwater, 13 gal. toilet holding tank. History: A brother-in-law purchased the boat from the original owner in 2008. It had always been stored indoors and had only 105 engine hours, per the engine hour meter and new condition. It remained kept in covered storage while spending time in Lake Coeur d'Alene well as Lake Chelan, and even a week-long trip to Friday Harbor. After the sad passing of the brother-in-law, another brother-in-law took ownership in 2015, where it was kept in Wenatchee for two years, then to other family members in Winlock, WA. It has been back in the Wenatchee area since 2020 – mostly just sitting on the trailer. My wife and I have owned a 1988 Bayliner 2556 since 1999, and we love our boat. In 2024, we agreed to put some work into the brother-in-law’s boat and bring it back to life, hence the mechanic invoices. Review the invoices closely. It now has no leaks and no worries given everything replaced. With the engine and outdrive removed, the transom checked out as solid. This is a perfect boat for living large while boat camping on Lake Chelan or Lake Roosevelt – or wherever. This boat runs strong – desirable engine and outdrive. Starts right up, shifts and steers nicely, I hit 36 MPH and maintained 25 MPH at a mere 3300 RPM. The engine hour meter located on the flybridge shows 345 hours and no longer works – likely from sitting outside on the trailer the past several years. We are becoming way to busy and are ready to confidently pass this boat on. My remaining project list does not require a mechanic – unless one chooses that route. This boat can be fully enjoyed while the remaining “tinkering” is accomplished – or even not depending on your own desires.
