Description

We're selling our 17' Arima Sea Ranger. 2016 Honda 100HP engine, impeccably maintained and flushed after every use with full records; trailer is essentially new below the frame. This boat has been an amazing family camping and adventure boat! We cruise the Gulf Islands and San Juans in this boat 9 months of the year and have loved camping on board or on shore from the boat tons of weekends and for over a week at a time several times each summer. Enough room for fishing, shrimping, crabbing from the cockpit. Fuel efficient, fast, and you can almost always get a spot on a dock if you want it with a boat this size even when all the big boats can't fit! We love this boat and are only selling to get a slightly larger boat that will better fit as our child gets bigger (2 adults and a kid in the v-berth won't work forever!). Asking price is $18,900. Clear title for boat and trailer in hand. The boat is located in Friday Harbor. Send me a PM with questions or to check it out. I will not respond to messages that just say "Is this available?"! Boat: 1990 Arima 17' Sea Ranger - Canvas bimini top is in good condition. I have two homemade additions (a winter cockpit cover and a summer shade awning) that zip on to it. The back panel needs zippers replaced but is still functional in the meantime. - Has a kicker mount but no kicker - Lowrance Elite-4 chart plotter and transducer - Uniden UM380 VHF radio - There are plugs for downriggers/pot pullers but I don't have mounts - Trailering weight is about 2500-2600 lbs fully loaded (boat, trailer, engine, fuel, gear) - The batteries are at the end of their expected lifespan, but have not shown any signs of weakening so we haven't replaced them yet. A small solar charger (included) keeps them topped up. - Structurally in great shape and no soft spots. There are some areas of small spiderwebbing in the gelcoat. As with any hull this age there are places where old screw holes from previous owners have been filled. A previous owner bumped into something and they did a repair on the starboard stern side that isn't pretty but is just a cosmetic issue. - The two seats in the boat are mounted on large storage boxes (that double as two additional seats), providing much needed storage space on a boat this size. - Lots of storage under the cushions in the v-berth for emergency gear, inflatable dingy, deck chairs, extra PFDs, coleman stove, etc (these aren't included, I'm just illustrating what we store in there all the time). - ~20 gallon Poly fuel tank - We typically cruise about 20 MPH at 4200 rpm for best fuel efficiency. Faster at WOT in calm conditions. Recent work/projects: - Fresh bottom paint spring 2026 (Pettit hydrocoat eco) - New fuel tank sending unit and gasket 2026 - New Seastar no-feedback helm steering in 2025 (did not replace steering cable) - New electric Bennett trim tabs and rocker switch in 2025 - Installed swim ladder 2025 - New bilge pump in 2025 - New water witch bilge switch 2025 - Rewired bilge and some other electrical systems in 2025, cleaned up orphan wires. - Removed all penetrations (except engine through-bolts) from the transom in 2025, filled holes with thickened epoxy and reinstalled into that to make sure no chance of water intrusion into the core. Installed new motorwell and transom drains as part of this. - New running light 2024 - New USB/12V outlets 2024 - New VHF antenna installed 2024 Engine: 2016 Honda BF100A with ~830 hours - This engine has been flushed with fresh water after every single trip since it was installed! - Installed in 2016 by Alvarado Marine in Friday Harbor - Only ethanol free gas with fuel stabilizer for both owners on the engine - Professionally maintained every year since installation, I have all the records - Recent maintenance beyond typical annual 100 hour service items (oil, fluids, exterior anodes, spark plugs, fuel/water separators, fuel filters, grease, etc): - Replaced water pump 2026 - Replaced interior engine anodes 2026 - Inspected cooling and exhaust passages 2026 - they're in good shape - Replaced ignition switch 2025 Trailer: 1990 EZ Loader single axle trailer - Hubs replaced summer 2026 - Springs replaced summer 2026 - Bunks and hardware replaced fall 2025 - The trailer lights all work - The tires have very little use, tread is great, but are not new. - All the important parts of this trailer are new! Included extras: - Anchor and rode - Original water tank that fits under cushions in v-berth. Before adding trim tabs we used this to add some weight to the bow. - Homemade table for motorwell that is handy while camping - Manual windshield wiper that you can mount on the helm window What I'd do this winter if I was keeping this boat: - 100 hour annual service, replace exterior anodes as needed, and winterize engine - Touch up bottom paint at the water line - Sew a new rear wall for the canvas enclosure - Consider replacing the batteries
