Description
The Newport 33 is a Gary Mull design that enjoys a reputation as an affordable fin keel, spade rudder, masthead rig, cruiser/club racer sailboat. The builder, Capital Yachts of Harbor City, California, was one of the most popular manufacturers of family cruising and racing sailboats for many years. Reputable designers (e.g. Gary Mull, C&C) married their designs to the Newport name and the vessels are still popular, affordable, and found throughout the country. The Newport 33 is a vessel that will accommodate a family of 5 in 3 berths. With autohelm it can be easily single-handed.
Boat dimensions: 33’ LOA, 10’8” beam. 16HP Universal atomic diesel 5416 engine in good working condition with significant investments in engine maintenance for future operations. Three co-owners have decided to sell due to life stage with small children and unable to have time to properly enjoy the boat’s adventuring.
This is a great boat for duck dodges, family/friend outings on Lake Union, Lake Washington, and through the locks to the greater Puget Sound. Boat has been on many adventures to South Sound, San Juan Islands, Gulf Islands, and Vancouver Island.
Boat is located at Westlake marina with locked access, onshore restroom, copious unrestricted parking, and view of 4th of July fireworks from the moorage slip nestled in houseboats.
